WYOMING COVID INFECTIONS AND HOSPITALIZATIONS ON THE RISE, SETTING NEW RECORDS

CASPER, Wyo. – COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations are rapidly rising in Wyoming. While not surprising to health experts, they are concerning.

“It’s inevitable,” said Dr. Andy Dunn, chief of staff at the Wyoming Medical Center. “Anyplace that’s indoors where people are in close proximity where they don’t have to wear masks is a huge opportunity for spreading.”

Last week, Wyoming saw a new record in COVID cases. According to Johns Hopkins University, there were 761 new cases between Sept. 20 through 26. On Saturday, Sept. 27, the state set a new one-day record with 168 new cases.

The Wyoming Department of Health reported 74 new lab-confirmed cases in Natrona County between Monday through Saturday last week, with 14 new cases reported yesterday.

and rising rapidly in states run by idiots. I predicted this early last spring. I hoped I was wrong about it, but it's been the pattern with other resp9ratory pandemics. As soon as it gets cold enough that we move indoors, the disease spreads rapidly.

I really wanted to be wrong. I still hold a shred of hope I am.
