WYOMING COVID INFECTIONS AND HOSPITALIZATIONS ON THE RISE, SETTING NEW RECORDS

CASPER, Wyo. COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations are rapidly rising in Wyoming. While not surprising to health experts, they are concerning.
Its inevitable, said Dr. Andy Dunn, chief of staff at the Wyoming Medical Center. Anyplace thats indoors where people are in close proximity where they dont have to wear masks is a huge opportunity for spreading.
Last week, Wyoming saw a new record in COVID cases. According to Johns Hopkins University, there were 761 new cases between Sept. 20 through 26. On Saturday, Sept. 27, the state set a new one-day record with 168 new cases.
The Wyoming Department of Health reported 74 new lab-confirmed cases in Natrona County between Monday through Saturday last week, with 14 new cases reported yesterday.
