U.S. judge skeptical of Texas Republican bid to scrap 127,000 votes

HOUSTON (Reuters) - A federal judge in Texas on Monday appeared skeptical of an attempt by Republicans to throw out about 127,000 votes already cast in the U.S. presidential election at drive-through voting sites in Houston, a Democratic-leaning area.
On the eve of Election Day, U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen said the Republicans who brought the case faced an "uphill road" in convincing him that votes cast at drive-through voting sites should be voided.
The case hinges on whether County Clerk Chris Hollins, a Democrat, acted lawfully when he allowed drive-through voting as an alternative during the coronavirus pandemic.
While the judge appeared skeptical of invalidating votes already cast, he questioned lawyers about whether he should halt drive-through voting on Election Day. Such an order would ensure those votes are not invalidated in a post-election dispute, he said.

This is pure nonsense.
And complete voter disenfranchisement if the ballots are tossed.
How do they expect to remedy the 120,000+ votes cast if they toss them? And what do you tell these voters? Sorry but you shouldnt cast a ballot, even if legal at the time you cast it, in case it might be thrown out in court later on.
Sorry, but this will cause people to doubt if their ballot is going to be counted when any vote is cast outside of the sacred voting booth on election day.
Yea, lets further cast doubt on the election process.
Makes sense to me!
