LGBTQ bar in Houston makes history as polling location

Buddy's Houston made history on Tuesday by becoming the world's first-known presidential polling location inside an LGBTQ+ bar, according to The Houston Chronicle.

The local watering hole has transformed into a polling location with 14 voting booths and poll workers who speak several different languages, including English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese and Indonesian.

Say "Hello" in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese or Indonesian. The friendly poll workers at BUDDY'S are happy to help you #vote.

The Harris County Clerk's Office celebrated the news on Twitter, writing: "We're not a regular county, we're a *cool* county."

If LGBTQ+ people and atheists/agnostics are forced to vote in a church, I see no reason why Cons should complain about voting in an LGBTQ+ bar.

Maybe the homophobes are scared that they might like it too much and want to stay for a drink or two.

5. Since the last election

Harris county voters can vote at any polling site in the county. That’s how cool we are. Before that for several years we could vote at any site if we did early voting.

11. we have voting centers in Ft Worth and Dallas also I believe all of our high population

counties have voting centers.

We have 300 voting centers; doesn't Harris have something like 600?

As an election judge, I was so happy that I no longer had to send folks to another location at the last minute. Now we just let 'em vote!
