(2,312 posts)but on the Front Range, not the Western Slope. We were in a bar near Steamboat Springs about 20 years ago, and I engaged the bartender in conversation. He was wearing the full-on fake cowboy outfit. I thought I heard something in his voice that was familiar, so I asked him where he was from. He said he was a fourth-generation Colorado cowboy whose family owned a ranch "just a piece down the road."
"Funny," I said. "You sound like you're from Maryland."
Turns out he was a Marylander who'd just moved to Colorado, so he thought the whole fake cowboy thing would get him tips from stupid tourists. My wife's family is from Maryland, so I know that B-more accent. There's no hiding it behind a big hat.

And according to Wikipedia, "Boebert was born in Altamonte Springs, Florida in 1986. When she was 12 years old, Boebert moved with her family to the Montbello neighborhood of Denver and later to Aurora, Colorado, before settling in Rifle, Colorado, in 2003."

And in the process, she could use her gun to chase off all the Hollywood pedophiles!
Yeah. "Salt of the earth." Right.

(507 posts)The law and order candidate has had a few run-ins with the law herself.
"Congressional candidate Lauren Boebert who often espouses a pro-police, law-and-order message on the campaign trail has been arrested and summonsed at least four times over the past decade, records show."
