Sasse blasts results of Justice Department's inquiry into Jeffrey Epstein plea deal

Source: Omaha World Herald

By Joseph Morton

WASHINGTON — Sen. Ben Sasse says the Justice Department has finished its investigation into a plea deal with alleged sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, but he doesn’t sound particularly satisfied with the results.

The Nebraska Republican issued a statement Thursday indicating the investigation had concluded that then-U.S. Attorney Alexander Acosta exercised “poor judgment” in regards to the plea agreement with Epstein.

“Letting a well-connected billionaire get away with child rape and international sex trafficking isn’t ‘poor judgment’ — it is a disgusting failure,” Sasse said. “Americans ought to be enraged. Jeffrey Epstein should be rotting behind bars today, but the Justice Department failed Epstein’s victims at every turn. The DOJ’s crooked deal with Epstein effectively shut down investigations into his child sex trafficking ring and protected his co-conspirators in other states. Justice has not been served.”

The report, obtained by the Associated Press, concluded that Acosta, who took responsibility in interviews for his decisions, had the authority as the U.S. attorney “to resolve the case as he deemed necessary and appropriate, as long as his decision was not motivated or influenced by improper factors.”

...history.

Now, having shown contempt for our 230 year old constitution this morally vapid individual apparently thinks that his resemblence to a Ken doll - including of course, the brain made of plastic encased air - thinks he is Presidential material.

He makes me want to throw up. He has the moral depth of a garden slug, not that I'm inclined to insult garden slugs by the comparison.

much more direct attention than it’s gotten so far. Those brave young women, some as young as thirteen when the assaults took place, who’ve endured hell by going public with their names and accusations, were raped by that creep and his high-powered friends who thought of it all as great fun. The Lolita Express teeheeteehee — what a card 🤮

I think that in general people know Epstein was a bad, bad, pervy guy, but I don’t think they know how his money was clearly black market mob sh!t (he had no legitimate source for his billions of dollars — he never even finished college yet he acquired, always in extremely strange arrangements, very posh teaching jobs starting in the 1970s (yes he apparently/allegedly slept with his teenage students) and top finance jobs in the 80s and access to billion dollar fortunes and all of these strange details need much more direct attention than they’ve gotten so far.

Those incredibly brave young women, some as young as thirteen when the assaults took place, who’ve endured hell by going public with their names and accusations, were raped by that creep and his high-powered friends who thought of it all as great fun. They literally lorded their wealth and fame over these terrified children. The vast vast majority of those men, and the women involved like Ghislaine Maxwell, have NOT had to answer for any of it.

Everyone involved in that vile “deal” needs to be seriously investigated. It would be nice I’d it happened — it probably won’t since Epstein was offed quickly to keep him from implicating the many various high level politicians, businessmen, lawyers (Dershowitz is one who has been named and he screams lawsuit every time his name is mentioned), etc. I’m sure there are hundred of them involved.

You can’t fool us. Your record is as bad as that of the most hardline Trump butt-kisser. You’re nothing but Susan Collins with a y-chromosome.
