After thousands of Trump supporters rally in D.C., violence erupts when night falls

President Trump’s supporters had celebrated for hours on Saturday, waving their MAGA flags and blaring “God Bless the U.S.A.” as they gathered in Washington to falsely claim that the election had been stolen from the man they adore. The crowd had even reveled in a personal visit from Trump, who passed by in his motorcade, smiling and waving.

But that was before the people who oppose their hero showed up and the mood shifted, growing angrier as 300 or so counterprotesters delivered a message the president’s most ardent backers were unwilling to hear: The election is over. Trump lost.

On stark display in the nation’s capital were two irreconcilable versions of America, each refusing to accept what the other considered to be undeniable fact.

While much of the day unfolded peacefully, brief but intense clashes erupted throughout. Activists spewed profanity and shouted threats, threw punches and launched bottles. On both sides, people were bloodied, and at least 10 were arrested, including four whose allegiances remain unknown on gun charges. The chaos also left two officers injured.

We are sending packing a family of grifters who at last count that I read, had made more than 135 million dollars off the WH brand since the New York thug installed them as 'advisors' to his thugishness. We are the people, the Party of Democrats, who beat back an attempt by a Party to try to intimidate the voter with weapons belonging on a battlefield. Did not work. They tried to steal votes by intimidating official counters of the vote in Detroit and other important swing state areas.

What these idiots don't understand is we also beat back fascists in WW2. We all beat back racism, gender bias, bias against people who chose lifestyles that makes them happy and content and is their right. We watched a group arrested who wanted to kidnap and murder the sitting Governors of 2 states, Michigan and Virginia because they felt it was their right under trumps law. They hated trump I read in one report but who enabled this sedition? So that was bullshit. Who encouraged this sedition? D. trump the BFF of Vladimir who impaled d. trump early on in this administration. The head traitor, coward who called men and women who served and are serving the American people in our military, upholding our Constitution and many who gave the ultimate sacrifice, "losers and suckers". This coward of a potus has brought shame, derision and humiliation upon America from the world and leaders of other allied and not so allied countries. There is so much more wrong this current sitting potus has done to us along with the GOP, a Party of cowards and enablers of trumps criminal activities.

I am glad the counter protestors showed up. The trump people in the streets need to know we are not intimidated because they racially represent the current president. These cultists of a seditious traitor are gently treated by this news organization. No mention that all those shouting in the streets are by and large racist fascists. They hate African-americans, women's right to choose what they want or need done medically or otherwise to their own bodies. They hate immigrants and non-Christians. And given their attempts to change or deny votes with violence I would be willing to say the violence today was started by trump's thugs who have been encouraged by trump for the last 4 years.

We stood up to the perpetrators of this violence and armed intimidation. We stood up to them and defeated them. That's the source of their leaders whiny immature actions since election day. He encouraged and enabled the violence that has happened here. Trump is the ultimate loser. His Party has shown exactly who they are. The Party of cowardly Racists and fascist thieves who care nothing about the American people who are struggling because of a pandemic made worse by an uncaring and ignorant man calling himself POTUS.

The Washington Post article noted in this OP helped cause this rant by continuing the misinformation campaign of this current sitting president. America's white wing, you have been defeated by a truly diverse and intelligent electorate. Go back to your holes in the ground and continue to eat the dirt your potus has been shoving down your throats for the last 4years and I hope all of you end up choking on it.

always remember to frame their actions with the one word that should be applied to them all: 'seditious'! Their actions are just that. We need to stop looking at this as a protest. A protest is fine when you have a different valid viewpoint. When your position is 'I am more important than you are and therefore should be allowed to re-write reality as I want it', you are delusional and traitorous. We need to use this term for every single one of them. (They should also be facing attempted murder charges for not adhering to our pandemic guidelines, but that's another story).
