GOP lawmaker: Trump implementing a 'loyalty purge' amid firing of top cybersecurity official
Source: The Hill
GOP Congressman Adam Kinzinger (Ill.) said on Wednesday that President Trump is implementing a loyalty purge in the White House after the firing of top U.S. cybersecurity official Christopher Krebs.
In an interview on CNNs New Day, Kinzinger said Krebs was doing his job and defending the security of the elections.
Chris Krebs said the election is secure
and of course, that is counter to what the president is trying to say, Kinzinger said. Theres like a loyalty purge going on in the last month of the White House.
The president, who has refused to accept his loss to former Vice President Joe Biden, said on Twitter that Krebs was terminated effective immediately. He alleged that a recent statement about the security of the election was highly inaccurate and baselessly claimed that there were massive improprieties and fraud including dead people voting.

(16,616 posts)he is firing all of the Trump moles. These are irrefutably dishonest, bad-faith hires and efforts to sabotage the new administration. No way can they stay embedded in our institutions.

(736 posts)he'll be sitting in the Oval office with Kaleigh, Steven Miller, Rush (if he's still alive) and a few other trump sycophants. All the others (including most of his kids) will be long gone hoping to save what's left of their careers.
Joe Biden shouldn't keep a single person that was hired under the trump administration including the ones that were eventually fired. Exceptions for those who spoke up during the impeachment hearings.
