Trump's effort would throw out ballots from 238,000 Wisconsin voters

Source: USA Today

MILWAUKEE – In an election decided in Wisconsin by about 20,000 votes, President Donald Trump wants to throw out more than 200,000 ballots.

The Trump campaign is seeking to disqualify 238,420 ballots cast during the Nov. 3 election between Dane and Milwaukee counties, according to a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel analysis – an effort that has been unsuccessful so far as part of recounts in both counties but could end up in court.

Milwaukee County's recount concluded Friday, with Democrat Joe Biden increasing his net margin of victory over Trump by 132 votes out of nearly 460,000 cast. The Dane County recount is expected to conclude Sunday.

The ballots Trump is seeking to disqualify affect voters who cast absentee ballots in person, known as early voting, and residents who identify themselves as "indefinitely confined," allowing them to vote absentee without meeting the state photo ID requirements.

That includes disabled people, but the majority are those who thought it safer to vote by mail than go into a polling place on the day of the election.

I used a mail - in ballot in Wisconsin this year, and nobody asked for a reason for wanting a ballot.

Trying to limit vote totals to those cast on election day.

Would the Supreme Court take up such an argument? How would they rule?

...trump's testing the bounds and weaknesses of our electoral/political/legal systems to target and blueprint a future fascist takeover by hardcore trump republicans...

...that may sound extreme but why are trump and the pukes stretching, testing and contorting every avenue out there when the outcome is known and obviously clear?

...there will be a heavy price to be paid if we keep flirting with fascism...

...time to get serious...

I don't think, or am hopeful, that Trump doesn't age well literally and figuratively over the next 3-1/2 years. I can't imagine someone so soundly rejected making a comeback. He will always be an impeached defeated incumbent ex-president laced with self-induced governing errors.

His entire family doesn't realize that they too are the scum of the earth, not royalty.......

Our biggest worries in the U.S. are:

The RepubliCON Senate continues in control, and

The 70 + or - people who voted for him will still be a major force to contend with in trying to stabilize our nation.

This would fail in court just like all of the others filed recently by the Trump Campaign/GOP.
Right? Right? Our courts have been holding firm and throwing out merit-free cases so far.

4 of my favorite Jazz artists:

Bessie Smith
Ella Fitzgerald
Billie Holiday
and of course, the great Duke Ellington.

I love to pop in a CD while truckin down the road.
I also love to listen to Blues, Classic Rock, Country Rock, Southern Rock, etc.
