You see, just about wherever I go these days, one of them approaches me and puts up a sign which, so I'm told, indicates a desire for a white Christian Nationalist regime. I don't know, I don't even recognise this symbol that appears right next to me, or on my truck, in many photos. What did you say it looks like again? See, I clearly don't care about it."

of him by 3% banners and QAnon stuff, he protested against C-19 control measures, and he is a Trump supporter?
Sorry not buying that he is innocent. If proven he was there I hope the Illinois state house reps strip him of his
seat.

In a social media post from the Trump speech site, Chris Miller contended the nation was engaged in a great cultural war between free-market capitalism or whether they will put us in the tyranny of socialism, communism and the dangerous Democrat terrorists that are trying to destroy our country.
snip
Miller and his wife, Mary, who was born and raised in suburban Naperville, are no strangers to controversy. Just a day before the insurrection attempt, Mary Miller spoke to a conservative group, Moms for America, and invoked Adolf Hitler.
Each generation has the responsibility to teach and train the next generation. You know, if we win a few elections, were still going to be losing unless we win the hearts and minds of our children. This is the battle. Hitler was right on one thing. He said, whoever has the youth has the future, she said.

(9,287 posts)So many more corpses since then, in fact 100,000s of bodies. He was clearly willing to kill his neighbors during the pandemic, so belonging to a violent militia group doesnt seem like a stretch to me.
The hatred of science and medicine is a common denominator to these types.

(9,963 posts)If its all or even most of them, this country is in serious trouble. They do not believe in democracy. They believe in the same things Hitler believed in: white supremacy and the destruction/murder of anyone not white. The white supremacist police officers have been active in the murder of black people for decades.
They believe they have the right to seize the powers of government by force and use them by and for white people only. They also believe in no federal government except for the military, with free market capitalism running rampant and destroying any protections for people, as we saw with the collapse of the Texas energy grid. I dont think these people have actual policies, just the desire for total control even though theyre a minority of the population.
I have started reading a book called Democracy in Chains, and it is already eye opening. The author researched the beginnings of the anti-government manipulations funded by the Kochs. The premise then, and now, is that the federal government has no right to constrain the means that any person uses to become wealthy, and the federal government has no right to take any of that wealth in taxes except for the military. The Kochs funded college economics institutes that mirrored their authoritarian anti-government beliefs, and their various foundations and PACs have worked consistently to educate generations to their beliefs. Were seeing the results today.
