House Republicans pull out of another key select committee in a sign of 1/6 panel fallout
Source: CNN
None of McCarthy's initial appointments to the select committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth will be joining that committee's first meeting this week, a lawmaker familiar with the committee told CNN.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's Deputy Chief of Staff Drew Hammill also confirmed to CNN that McCarthy's selections to this key economic select committee had pulled out.
What is still unclear at this time is whether these Republicans are boycotting the committee temporarily or leaving it altogether. It also remains to be seen whether there are other select committees Republicans will reject.

This is the same thing that happened when the orange mass was squatting. Pull out everyone, every support, trip up every normalcy, centralize their so called power, decimate any ability for the government to work as it should

(47,260 posts)Well, some things don't change do they? All republicans want to do is raise campaign cash, run for office, give press conferences, confirm conservative judges, and then run for office again. That is pretty much their job description. They don't have to really know anything about government, because they don't govern anyway.

(3,432 posts)The Republicans have never been big on economic fairness, like if you are poor it's always your own fault. They agree to raise the minimum wage, only after it becomes ridiculously low thru inflation, and then not very much. The essence of a market economy is competition, but that means someone has to be at the bottom. That shouldn't mean they have to starve or neglect their kids because they are working all the time.

As TLP say and Dylan say, they gotta serve somebody -- the 28 funders of trumpcult.
