Turns Out Mo Brooks Was Wearing Body Armor to Trump's Very Peaceful Jan. 6 Rally
Source: Slate Magazine
Then, to prove his point about preparation, he revealed a new detail to me: that because of a tip hed received about potential violence, hed been wearing body armor at the very same Ellipse speech in which he encouraged rally attendees to start taking down names and kicking ass.
I was warned on Monday that there might be risks associated with the next few days, he said. And as a consequence of those warnings, I did not go to my condo. Instead, I slept on the floor of my office. And when I gave my speech at the Ellipse, I was wearing body armor.
Thats why I was wearing that nice little windbreaker, he told me with a grin. To cover up the body armor.

(5,141 posts)He asked the crowd if they would give up all their possessions and lives and asked them if they were willing to fight...he got them incredibly worked up.
His speech was a complete part of seditious conspiracy for the failed coup.

(2,749 posts)exactly what they want to for legal reasons. They know it's just enough to get the rubes worked up and slobbering all over the place with a need to kill things.
Trumpers are a pawn in chess, and stupid enough to fall for it.

(5,141 posts)Talking about blood, and all kinds of inciting crap. These people who are in our Congress that incited this, funded this, or organized this should be removed from office whether that be Congress or the Supreme court, and never able to even hold office of even the county dog catcher.

(6,011 posts)I hope the lives of these treasonous pieces of shit are a very hard, very horrific road until the day they die.
Constant public spot lighting and shaming should be the norm for years to come. Never let them forget what they are.

(5,141 posts)It was reported most of the people at the insurrection were middle class or better. They wanted to throw away our democracy because they felt they were entitled to get what they want, at the expense of our country.
I think everyone who entered the building or fought past the barricades should do a minimum jail sentence.
If it had been un the early years of our country, they would have hanged, for what happened.

(7,402 posts)Seems like he would have a duty to do that. One reason not to do that would be if it wasn't from a tip at all but from a planning session.
