Six cruise ship passengers test positive for Covid: 4 vaccinated, 2 unvaccinated
Source: CNN
Four of the guests are vaccinated and two are unvaccinated minors, Royal Caribbean International said in a statement. The seven-night cruise departed from Nassau, Bahamas, on July 25.
One of the four vaccinated guests has mild symptoms, the company said, and three are asymptomatic. The four are not traveling together.
The two unvaccinated minors were in the same party and are asymptomatic, according to Royal Caribbean.

(37,449 posts)Its bad enough for other viral maladies, but Covid 19, no, thanks. Imagine spending your money to have to get off and find a way home.

(35,958 posts)I'm fully vaccinated, but there's no amount of money anyone could pay me to go on a cruise ship now, and it's going to stay that way until the virus is suppressed on a global level. I loved cruising, but the world's changed a lot since covid hit, and I can't see myself ever going on something where thousands of people, some willfully unvaccinated, are crammed together in a pretty small area.
Living in a country where the borders have been shut to all but New Zealand for the past 18 months, I dream of international travel again. But when we're allowed to leave again, I'm not cruising. I'm going to fly to Japan and amongst other things like seeing amazins stuff, try out their amazing toilets with a console that controls pooping music and heat and stuff. Australian loos are nothing like that!

(14,566 posts)vaccine and have proof of it.
I mean, come on. I'm 62 and we NEVER would have EVER thought about refusing to take the measles, rubella, polio or smallpox vaccines. No way. I am old enough to have seen people with polio braces on their legs. Older kids than me, but that was a nightmare. I'd rather get the vaccine any day of the week.
Why, WHY are these people so STUPID. The death rate for the COVID vaccine is like 1 in 850,000. It is much more dangerous to drive a car. Come on, folks! Let's get vaccinated.
