Cardinal Who Expressed Skepticism About Vaccines Has COVID-19, Is On Ventilator
Source: Huffington Post
A conservative former archbishop of St. Louis who has spread unfounded theories about COVID-19 vaccines has been hospitalized with the disease and placed on a ventilator, according to his official Twitter account.
Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke, 73, recently tested positive for the coronavirus, the account tweeted last week. On Saturday, another post said he had been admitted to hospital.
....
Burke has also referenced conspiracy theories about vaccines: one about microchips and another that claimed the vaccines were created using aborted fetal cells.
He has repeated false claims suggesting vaccines may inject microchips that allow recipients to be controlled by the State regarding health and about other matters which we can only imagine and also said that it is never morally justified to develop a vaccine through the use of the cell lines of aborted fetuses.

God does have a sense of humor - I guess the Cardinal's faith wasn't strong enough to ward off the virus

Conservatives could just take the J&J viral vector vaccine to avoid mRNA but they're too dumb for that.

That said, the worst of the right wingers sowing misinformation about the vaccines are clearly vaccinated themselves.

Why haven't Epstein's pals, TFG included, been arrested, convicted and imprisoned? Big money.
Why hasn't Murdoch and his Nazi cabal been banished? Big money.
Anyone notice a pattern?
As for Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke, turn his ventilator up all the way and blow up what's left of his lungs. Fuck him!

(22,100 posts)Maybe God is sending this Cardinal a message.
What gets me is that in some manner, aborted fetus cell cultures created decades ago were used in some obscure manner to help develop the vaccines for COVID-19? I'm not really 100% sure if this is a true statement either, is everything 100% based upon some long ago cell cultures from an aborted fetus, since then?, I somehow doubt this. But they seem to apply this to every single vaccine (this logic).
I thought that current vaccines for COVID-19 were developed as a result of studying the structure of the COVID-19 virus, and identifying the particular protein spike(s) of these COVID-19 viruses so effective counter measures could be developed to block these protein spikes (a poor way of saying this, I'm not a medical person or medical techie), but there has been quite a few articles in the DU world on these vaccine developments so I won't go into details here.
It's kind of funny in a way, especially since the church had to dictate that its priests etc. get vaccinated, as well as take other measures, since they have lost so many priests to the COVID-19 epidemic (over 60 in Italy alone, probably way more now, and definitely more world-wide), when COVID-19 started rearing its ugly head.
