Biden to address chaotic Kabul evacuation amid criticism

Source: AP

Facing a firestorm of criticism, President Joe Biden plans to speak Friday about the chaotic evacuation of Americans and allies from Afghanistan as the U.S. struggles with obstacles ranging from armed Taliban checkpoints to airport pandemonium and cumbersome red tape.

Biden is set to meet with his national security team about the evacuations, and to speak from the White House Friday afternoon.

He's taken responsibility for the action and is taking the necessary steps to make sure all Americans and as many Afghans as possible are evacuated.

He's also made it clear he won't tolerate any sort of hostage crisis.

(at least from what I heard locally on the CBS affiliate news radio station here)

After 20 years, there seems to have been the creation of what I'll dub an "AIC" (Afghanistan Industrial Complex) of people who seemed to have made careers there. And what is being called "red-tape" is going to inevitably be turned on its head with criticism if any criminal elements manage to slide in if not verified as actually being American citizens and/or provided substantial assistance to the American forces there over that time.

Trump would tweet that he's being picked on by the evil, lying left. Then he'd add something about how beautiful the evacuation was. JFC, the media is so fucking lame.
