Vaccine Mandates Move Ahead After F.D.A. Approval of Pfizer Shot

Full federal approval for the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine for those 16 and older is opening the way for institutions like the military, corporate employers, hospitals and school districts to announce vaccine mandates for their employees.

National medical groups hailed the step. A joint statement by the American Medical Association, American Hospital Association and American Nurses Association called it “a major step forward in the worldwide effort to end this pandemic.”

“Today’s news marks a critical moment for people who were concerned about getting vaccinated due to the vaccines being authorized for emergency use,” the statement said. “With millions of data points on the vaccine’s safety and efficacy over nearly nine months of vaccinations, every ‘i’ is dotted and every ‘t’ is crossed.”


The groups added, “With the Delta variant surging, there has never been a better time to get vaccinated.”

Doctors walking out on hospitals, school districts in court to try to enforce mask wearing, companies requiring vaccination as a condition of work, mask wearing at work .... the wisdom of hanging your hat ona political protest strategy that packs a deadly punch to potentially anyone will be questioned for decades. Unfortunately, many, many families will never forget as they recall their lost loved ones.

We are winning, we will win this game, but it is a hollow, painful victory.

5. Most major hospital systems now requiring vaccine

Long overdue. As a traveler most often working in remote locations, I've encountered RWNJ anti-vaxxer caregivers which has always struck me as ironic, since most systems require quite a vaccine regimen, so those refusing are only falling in line with the RW news sources/conspiracy BS.
So just recently I've gotten missiles from ex-colleagues informing me that these few holdouts are on notice to vaxx or walk.
Oh, it's a karma so sweet to me and others these notorious free-dumb loving troublemakers pay to play.
