Senate defeats GOP amendment to block Biden vaccine mandate

Source: The Hill

The Senate on Thursday defeated a Republican amendment seeking to block President Biden's vaccine-or-test mandate for businesses with 100 or more workers.

Republicans and Democrats were split down the middle on the vote, 50-50 in the upper chamber, falling short of the 60 votes needed to pass the measure.

Sen. Roger Marshall (R-Kan.) offered the measure, which would block the use of federal funds for vaccine mandates. It came during a series of votes on amendments to a stop-gap government funding measure.

Biden announced earlier this month that his Department of Labor would put forward a regulation requiring that businesses with 100 or more employees mandate employees are vaccinated, or get tested once per week.

and mostly intimidated into total blind submission. Liked whipped puppies. Cowards, con-men (and women) and downright sociopathic for supporting this crap in a pandemic and an attempted overthrow of the government (dare we call it a COUP MSM??). Thank you Dems for defeating this latest attempt.

Hopefully we can get rid of Jerry Moran in the midterms. Noticed Jerry has been missing a lot of votes lately,
I wonder why.

To all those people that praise them on the rare, no, not even rare, the ONE time they acted decently. "See! Deep down, in their heart of hearts, they must be really good people!"

No. No they're not. That goodness? That was the anomaly. This is who they are.

because his name gets trotted out frequently.

As it is, he voted against the C.R. that passed yesterday - even when 15 of his (R) colleagues voted FOR it. And fucking Toomey is coming from a state where several counties, including MINE (Philly) were declared DISASTER AREAS due to the flooding from the remnants of Hurricane Ida as well as for severe damage to homes and businesses after several tornadoes (including 2 EF2s - one about 5 miles from where I live) that spun up when those remnants came through. So money in that C.R. was not just to keep the government open but was also being designated for disaster aid.

In a year of a deadly pandemic, Kansas voters defeated Barbara Bollier, a trained physician, to elect a proud ignoramus like Roger Marshall. Despite Bollier’s relative conservatism (She was a former Republican), I don’t doubt that this decision had deadly consequences for some Kansans.
