Trump Giddily Praises 'Genius' Putin as Russia Sends Troops Into Ukraine

Source: Rolling Stone

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday ordered troops into separatist-backed regions of eastern Ukraine...

Trump thinks he’s doing great.

“I said, ‘This is genius,'” Trump said on a right-wing podcast. “Putin declared a big portion of … Ukraine … as independent. Oh, that’s wonderful. … I said, ‘How smart is that?’ And he’s going to go in and be a peacekeeper. That’s strongest peace force. … We could use that on our southern border. That’s the strongest peace force I’ve ever seen. There were more army tanks than I’ve ever seen. They’re going to keep the peace all right. Here’s a guy who’s very savvy … I know him very well. Very, very well.”

Trump eventually seemed to remember that most people think Putin invading an independent democratic nation is a bad thing, so he quickly pivoted from giddy praise to noting that “this would have never happened” if he were still in office. “This would have never happened,” he said, adding that “it’s very sad” that Biden gave “no response.”

So if Trump had his way, and there were no adults in the room watching over him, he might try to invade Mexico. Good to know!

Republicans in mass have endorsed with admiration a murderous dictator as dangerous as Hitler. I am inclined to believe that if they gain full power of the Senate, House and Presidency they will establish a full-blown dictatorship. I don't think they would hesitate to imprison the opposition, shut down the Free Press by passing laws to silence any opposition. I really fear for the future of our nation. The situation is becoming dire and quickly escalating.

It is beyond my wildest imagination that this would take place in our country. Democracy under assault in our own county? The bastion of freedom is now being jeopardized not only from our avowed enemies, but from within. The problem is that we have been warned that fascism is being advocated and gaining deaf and blind adherents who are supporting their own enslavement. The power of propaganda that has dominated the airwaves for over forty years is coming to full maturity. It is a replay of what transpired in Germany during the 1930s that was recorded in the "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich."

I really fear for the future of the country and pray that the majority will awaken before it is too late.

All he'd have to do is blow in TFG's ear and tell him what a strong leader he was and Fat Donnie would serve him Ukraine on a silver platter, with Tucker Carlson and the entire GQP singing his praises.

He probably thought T**** had done enough damage to NATO that the countries would be so disorganized they wouldn't present a threat. He didn't count on a president who understood how to build a strong coalition and to lead. President Biden keeps telling the world and Puttie-poo he knows exactly what's going on, and what the consequences will be if Vlad continues his present course of action.

Personally, I think we should send a sub over and sink Putin's yacht.

You know, if we have to declare war on Putin, for real, we would be in a war, and that definition of TREASON will come into focus.

So, are we technically now in a war? Do the treason statutes require a formal declaration of war by Congress, or are Biden's sanction declarations enough?

Oh, let's test that in the SC, shall we? Maybe we can indict all those scum in one fell swoop. DOJ, get busy...no more free weekends.

Imagine if during the Munich/Sudetenland crisis in 1938 former President Herbert Hoover had said:

“Hitler declares a big portion of the Czechoslovakia — of Czechoslovakia. Hitler declares it as independent. Oh, that’s wonderful. So, Hitler is now saying, ‘It’s independent,’ a large section of Czechoslovakia. I said, ‘How smart is that?’ And he’s gonna go in and be a peacekeeper. That’s strongest peace force …

“Here’s a guy that says, you know, ‘I’m gonna declare a big portion of Czechoslovakia independent’ — he used the word ‘independent’ — ‘and we’re gonna go out and we’re gonna go in and we’re gonna help keep peace.’ ”

President Hoover would never have done that ... but here is Trump praising Putin.

Trump is siding with the enemies of the United States ... just like he sought to overthrow our Constitutional election on January 6, 2021.

I know of kindergartners who have a better sense of right and wrong than he does -- or than the entire GQP, for that matter.

Also, he loves to show off his ignorance. Putin didn't declare a "big portion" of Ukraine as independent. Have someone show him where Ukraine is on a map, and how big it is compared to other countries. Then have them point out to TFG how tiny the two areas of the country Putin is invading under false pretense.

He truly seems like a psychopath. He has no feelings whatsoever for Ukrainian citizens. He spews forth praise to a guy who might start WW3; no doubt he is still taking lessons from Putin.

This is a guy who admires Hitler. Now he thinks Putin is a swell guy.

I think that Putin is STUPID; he has lined up all his troops and hardware to make them easy targets. He is counting on EW to cow us back. And, he thinks he will gain something from threatening nuke launches. But, he's not the only one who has nukes. Russia will be just a blackened spot on an outdated map, if he does that. What's the genius in that?

I think Shit-For-Brains Trump said this in order to make the party claim that if HE had been President, this wouldn't be happening. Thank God and all that's Holy that he is not President right now.
