Anonymous Hackers Warn Supreme Court Against Overturning Roe vs. Wade: 'Expect Us'
Source: IBTimes
Hacking collective Anonymous has warned the U.S. Supreme Court against striking down the landmark Roe v. Wade decision, adding that it may get burned if it does so.
In a Twitter post published Tuesday, Anonymous said the Supreme Court and Republicans should expect some type of retaliation should they repeal Roe v. Wade decision.

(5,586 posts)I seriously doubt anyone wed want info on would put anything suspicious or criminal in an email. Thats like the height of idiocy, and they may be evil, but theyre not idiots.
All anonymous would find probably is collaboration between the justices and their clerks on a whole lot of legal mumbo jumbo while writing and sourcing opinions.

(47,359 posts)There was a time when I'd have thought that was true, but over the years I have been shocked by the seemingly intelligent, well educated people who put incriminating information in emails and text messages. Somehow the use of modern technology, especially smartphones, has made so many people as clueless and naïve as teenagers.

(5,586 posts)And what isnt. I also know that 99.9999% of anonymous is not the ultra smooth, crime syndicate, top tier red team operator that many here think they are. And the ones that are, are stealing infinitely more profitable information than thousands of gigabytes of some justices legal opinions and sources.
Judging from anonymouss history of hacks and disclosures, its all e-mail related. No one, at the Supreme Court justice level, is going to have incriminating information thats easily discoverable by the first fucking person that comes along willing to look for it.
The Supreme Court has a police force, and their decisions affect millions of people. Its in the governments interest to make sure their IT infrastructure isnt compromised. Almost all of their work product is going to be stored in a FedRAMP data center anyway. Good luck getting into that.

Im hope Anonymous can find out who paid Kavanaughs debts so we know whose orders he is following. I suspect theres all kinds of dirt on the Handmaidens cult since there were several accusations of sexual abuse.

SCOTUS is doing threatening theater; FEELING threatened isn't, in fact, BEING threatened.
If this shows anything, it shows that SCOTUS, doing harm, expects defensive action from those it harms.

Hacker collective Anonymous continues to monitor Putins invasion of Ukraine and reports that it will continue its cyber war until Russias aggression stops. In a recent tweet, Anonymous said it will continue hacking and releasing confidential information. The declaration came after recent reports of Russia's brutality in Ukraine.
Link to tweet
Since Russia invaded Ukraine, the collective has leaked the data of 120,000 Russian soldiers. It also took over state-controlled television to show the real devastation in Ukraine.
Link to tweet
It also retweeted the S&P report that Russia had defaulted on its foreign debt by offering to pay in rubles.
Link to tweet
Until last week, Russia had access to some of its frozen assets to pay back some of its investors in dollars. However, last week, the U.S. treasury blocked the country's access to its reserves in American banks.

(23,336 posts)Alito, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett are driven by the word of God, and by a parade of Popes who decried abortion and contraception. They are working for a "higher power" than mere public opinion, and their jobs are guaranteed for life. What's Anonymous going to do?
Then there's Thomas, who has no real opinion except that which Ginny tells him. Both now listening to the ghosts of a long line of popes.
All of them are too smug, too assured of their jobs, too absorbed in extreme religion, to be bothered by a bit of hacking from Anonymous.
The hacking may be fun, but won't change any minds on the court.
momta
(4,079 posts)Nothing is going to change the minds of those morons. The point is to make clear to people just how corrupt they are so that we, as a society, will DO something about it.
And yeah, it may not work, but another point is to just watch them squirm a little (or a lot). It's punitive. I'm okay with that.

Some (or many, judging from this thread) DUers have a problem in this regard. As long as the targets of the violence/threats are "acceptable," then it's fine and dandy for a lot of people. They claimed they were going after Nestle, then all they "released" were a small cache of emails from long ago, signifying nothing. Nestle is a multinational with hundreds of thousand employees. WTF?
So far, all I've ever seen from Anonymous is a whole lot of sound and fury signifying nothing while they try to stay relevant.

The mysterious hacker group Anonymous said via Twitter this week that Trump is going to regret the next 4 years, a statement thats likely to spur hackers and Internet pranksters to target his administration. The group issued its threat in response to one of Trumps tweets in which he criticized departing CIA Director John Brennan and implied that Brennan was a source of a leaked dossier about his alleged activities in Russia.
Trumps caustic tweet about Brennan prompted Anonymous post a series of tweets alleging that the president-elect has financial and personal ties with Russian mobsters, child traffickers, and money launderers without providing direct evidence in the tweet.
