13. I think someone was shot. But it happened off campus, near the school.

Shooter then ran into the school and barricaded himself.

I don't believe any students or faculty were injured. They managed to evacuate and everyone was safe.

Oopps...some students were injured...I have to assume there was probably shooting on campus itself...
Or did students get injured from the barricading...(Seems unlikely though)

regarding 2 children dead and 13 injured.

And the local radio anchor was noting that they were hearing that there may be more casualties in the school (not confirmed yet).

24. Abbott declared Texas a pro-gun state when he signed legislation in 2021 lowering requirements.

No permits or training required to openly carry a gun. Guns are easy yo buy in Texas, and they’re everywhere. Many local stores used to have signs barring people from bringing guns into the stores. I think most of those are now gone because Republicans say it’s fine if you walk around with an assault rifle as you paw through the produce.
