2024 Presidential Debate Dates and Locations Are Announced

Source: New York Times

The Commission on Presidential Debates on Monday announced the dates and locations of three presidential debates to be held during the general election campaign next year, as well as one vice-presidential debate.

The presidential debates are scheduled for Sept. 16 at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas; Oct. 1 at Virginia State University in Petersburg, Va.; and Oct. 9 at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. The vice-presidential debate is scheduled for Sept. 25 at Lafayette College in Easton, Pa.

The moderators and formats for each debate are not expected to be announced until next year, but the events are scheduled to run for 90 minutes with no commercial breaks.

The commission, which receives no funding from the government or political parties, has sponsored all general election presidential and vice-presidential debates since the 1988 election.

He doesn’t have to for the pre-primary debates because no other candidate is even close to him. If he does show, it will just be a repeat of his previous debate with Biden where he talked over him. Biden’s best line of that night was “Will you just shut up man!”

Unless Trump concedes he lost the 2020 election and that Biden is the legitimately elected President of the United States.

Biden should follow the Katie Hobbs approach in Arizona when dealing with Kari Lake.
Don't debate crackpot conspiracy theorists who don't respect the outcome of elections and are actively trying to destroy our democracy.

Trump deserves zero respect. Considering he's relentlessly disrespected President Biden and his only surviving son.

Or, maybe that golden statue somebody still has tucked away. A trump balloon could stand in for the airhead.

The possibilities are endless!

There was a time when these debates were a forum for candidates to outline their vision and articulate their policies so undecided voters could make an informed decision on election day. If it's going to be a repeat of 2020, I see no reason for debates. There is no one unfamiliar with both candidates and what they bring to the table. It will simply be another platform for the orange madman to display his vulgar shenanigans.
