The sister of satirist Stephen Colbert will launch a bid for a U.S. House seat in South Carolina, the Washington Post reported Friday.
Elizabeth Colbert-Busch notified the state Democratic Party that she will file Tuesday to run in the special election for the seat previously held by Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC).

(94,497 posts)This is a Solid Republican (R+11) district, and no article I've come across suggests that she has any particular attractiveness as a Candidate other that that she's Steve Colbert's sister. Won't be getting a penny of my money.
