SPECIAL REPORT: Records detail how U-M attorney shut down child porn investigation

Source: Ann Arbor News

Newly released documents detail how a University of Michigan Health System lawyer shut down an investigation into the discovery of child pornography on a hospital computer nearly two years ago, keeping it out of the public eye for months and allowing the resident responsible to avoid immediate prosecution.

The records, obtained by AnnArbor.com from the Washtenaw County Prosecutor's Office through a Freedom of Information Act request, show a lack of oversight and documentation by hospital officials, which allowed the attorney to decide on her own that the case would not be reported to police.

Six months later, the case finally came to light when a doctor concerned that the investigation had been dropped brought it to the attention of the U-M Health System's Risk Management Department, which eventually led to more investigation and officials turning the case over to police. The police investigation ultimately led to a three-year prison sentence for Stephen Jenson, who admitted to possessing the child pornography.

You are going to be hearing a lot about Michigan from our activists.

It turns out that this is just the proverbial tip of the iceberg. We have reports of a rape case buried, ties to sending parts and information to China surreptitiously and more. There's much more being covered up here and our bird dogs of ACT 4 Justice are on the ground zero.

Stay tuned DU's - Michigan is going to make Penn State look like 101 and UofM as the doctor's degree of bad faith acts extraordinary.

Including connections to infamous parties.

The job of an attorney is to advise, not to decide. The role of counselor and that of executive are very much different--which is why executives at most companies can't claim to be acting in a legal capacity.

Attorneys circle the wagons to protect each other.

On a different progressive blog - the counsel in charge of a major function of Democrats;
has assaulted me from day 1 - about Romney's RICO Gang issues.

Almost as if he were "their" defense counsel.

There's a catch phrase from Therapist Karin Huffer - about the post traumatic stress disorder one suffers from - when you realize that corruption is the norm - rather than the exception.

She calls it "Legal Abuse Syndrome".

For lawyers/ attorneys etc - protecting bad faith because it is by a lawyer, we need to coin it properly

like Bar card carriers become "Bar All - Ban None" - or "Bar-Less Wall of Silence"

"Attorneys can do no wrong"

Imagine what happens in a community when people realize that you are in disagreement with the status quo. People are funny. Those who are most intricately involved with the mess will try to find a way to befriend you, or try to reach you through your friends. And then they overstate what was said in the few conversations you do have, or try to disparage you in some way. (Think: Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.) Those who are one more level out will avoid you because they don't want to be viewed as providing you any assistance. And those who are truly clueless will just follow everyone's lead. Because, surely, one insignificant woman can't ever possibly be right about the level of corruption that's going on in the community.

The only answer is to learn to live a reclusive life. Thank goodness my mother prepared me with the mindset to do just that.

"Es mejor estar sola que mal acompaniada."

As you can probably gather - I empathize with your plight.

My family thinks I've abandoned them - I never seen, nor held my 7 grandchildren.

I'm fighting to protect their future and get back their inheritance that was stolen by Romney's RICO Gang.

Keep the faith - more and more of U.S. are getting together every day.

I would love to have it posted in GD. Even though it's an expose, some may consider it an opinion piece. How can it not be both? I know where the details are going before the reader does, so I'm connecting the dots for them and providing a website for the references.

Anyway, I would love to get feedback, atleast on the overview part of it, because the whole piece is long and detailed. It has to be because pinning down the facts will make it harder for the culprits to even attempt a rebuttal.

We're in a 20 seconds tidbit world.

I'm studying YouTube, saving for a better phone/camera; and more - to make a video/website of Romney the Racketeer.

The proof is prodigious, copious and irrefutable (public docket records AND confessions)

As much as people want to see Goldman Sachs, Bain Capital and Romney go down;
they DON"T want to hear me tell my story (NO matter HOW vast the evidence).

I need to tell yours and you need to tell mine (that's the way the real world works)

When we seek out the media - we are SEEKing "qualitative" reporting (which turns into quantitative reviews by masses)

email me laser dot haas at yahoo - the "details" long - of your saga;
and I will do so to you after we finish with Romney RICO

Meanwhile, get your camera and edit skills in tune - so that we can KISS (keep it simple silly) for the masses

From there people can follow the link to the detailed information.

Hey, the reality is that no one cares. The FBI, the State Attorney's Office all passed on it. The State Attorney's Office was the same one that bungled the Treyvon Martin case. The FBI was out hunting down terrorists and didn't think it was important enough. They probably thought it was funny how a city that was so mishandled by a bunch of good ole boys, resolved their local problems by allowing community leaders to commit fraud against homeowners and neighbors. Instead of holding the city accountable, the city just widened the circle of corruption. Imagine the world they created for themselves, getting the nod to lie and deceive their neighbors. And it might just be a coinky dinky, but a few who played along were richly rewarded with local government jobs.

This mess continues to this day with community leaders breaking the city rules and those of their own homeowner documents at the same time that they enforce it on their neighbors. They are lords in a fiefdom that was created and condoned by politically connected legal heads.

At least I'll be able to show the kind of local corruption that gets passed on because there ARE people in our state that have privileged status.

I might have something that would help define a need for a forum for community whistle blowers. I might need a lot of moral support as some seasoned leaders realize that their way of life is about to be exposed.

But, that's what is taking so long to complete the project. How do you put what would have cost a paralegal $100,000 to organize, into a comprehensive manner for ordinary people to read?

I'm almost ready to tackle the project again and have a few ideas.

Why? Because his actions are contrary to standard industry practice. The attorney represented the employer. Not the employee or manager. He should have had a separate investigator confirm the wrongdoing then released the employer subject to any due process caveats required by state law and then called authorities. Now the entire institution looks culpable. Freakin malpractice .....

In the real world of modern day - everyone does the Tom Cruise/ Gene Hackman way of;
pushing the limits of the law to the edge - without (purportedly) - breaking the law.

Or, as Goldman Sachs and Bain Capital do - to the limits of your corrupt power structure.

Please NOTE: - Romney's brother Scott - is a UofMich big wheel.
