Union-bill fight may not last long as GOP leaders show little interest
Source: Columbus Dispatch
In Ohio, where a fierce battle was waged two years ago over collective bargaining, a state labor leader said yesterday that GOP lawmakers recent introduction of right-to-work legislation was extreme, the same way that all of Germany went extreme in 1933.
Should the legislature pass and Gov. John Kasich sign any of three pieces of legislation to be formally introduced in the Ohio House today hardly a guarantee at this point the state would become the 25th identified as a right-to-work state, including neighbors Michigan and Indiana. In that case, mandatory participation in a union or payment of union-related fees as a condition of employment would be banned in Ohio.
Asked if he meant to compare the introduction of these bills to the Nazis, Rugola said, No, I meant to compare it to extremism.

Frickin' Rethuglicans! They really are like a fucking cancer, or maybe more like termites, just constantly eating away and eating away, just 24/7/365 just eating and shitting, eating and shitting, eating and shitting, eating and shitting....determined to destroy what they can.
Check this out from the article...{bolding is mine)
"A signature-collecting effort by tea party affiliates is continuing to place right-to-work laws on the ballot, and organizer Chris Littleton said if enough signatures arent gathered to place the issue before voters this fall, he would shoot for 2014. A right-to-work initiative was backed by the GOP in Ohio in 1958 and was defeated by 63 percent to 37 percent."
There's the Republican Party for you....Screwing the American people since at least 1958!
This fucking version of the republican Party needs to be fucking tombstoned

(60,302 posts)Right to Work my ass. Such a phony way of stealing back from the people that which was won with blood by our predecessors.
The right to work just means you will be working instead of taking a vacation and you will be doing it at much lower wages, longer hours and less safe conditions. The people who buy in to this shit are ignorant and never paid attention to their history lessons.

(15,192 posts)as they got their asses kicked 65-35% by the voters of Ohio regarding Collective Bargaining rights, but then again, why should they when they have ignorant fucks making $45K a year, who are convinced that the enemy is their fellow Americans making $48K a year. doing the dirty work for them? Like the asshat Teabaggers who are collecting petition signatures to get Right to Work on the ballot.
Our fore-fathers, like my grandfather, who fought for workers rights with their blood have got to be ashamed of us.
Not one of their greatest songs, but it is from their Greatest Album...The Who's Dirty Jobs is still so relevant today.
"I am a man, who drives a local bus
I take miners to work but the pits all closed today,
it's easy to see, that you are one of us
ain't it funny how we all seem to look the same?
I'm getting put down,
I'm getting pushed round
I'm being beaten everyday,
My life's fading,
but things are changing,
I'm not gonna sit an weep again
I am a young man,
I ain't done very much,
You men should remember
how you used to fight,
Just like a child,
I'm seeing only dreams.
I'm all messed up,
but I know what's right"
