CBO says rising revenues shrink U.S. deficit by $203 bln

WASHINGTON, May 14 (Reuters) - The U.S. budget deficit this year will be $203 billion lower than previously estimated, the Congressional Budget Office said on Tuesday, citing rising tax revenues and higher contributions from government-run mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

The CBO, updating forecasts made in February, said it now forecasts a $642 billion deficit for fiscal 2013 compared with a previous estimate of $845 billion.

much less other the 'fear/distraction' topics like Benghazi, IRS, etc. Facts do not represent as much as a road bump in the usual republican PR machine that keeps spewing the same stuff no matter what happens or how reality changes.

8. An update of $203 billion from a forecast of less than 3 months ago. At this rate

we'll be out of deficit mode in no time and with no help whatsoever from the GOP, except to obstruct and waste money on phony investigations which are intended inflict political damage and not to search for the truth.
