White House defends IRS handling, McConnell asserts 'culture of intimidation'

Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell said the IRS controversy amounted to evidence of a "culture of intimidation" by the administration. But he and Rep. Dave Camp, R-Mich., admitted they lacked evidence that the targeting of conservatives was ordered by the White House.

(23,199 posts)(cough) ACORN, churches that had anti-war speakers, (cough) NAACP...as opposed to 100% political groups applying for tax exempt status (illegally). Does anyone find it ironic that teabaggers are applying for a status as 'social welfare' groups? 'Social' and 'welfare' are 2 words conservatives hate more than they hate themselves.

The good people of Kentucky won't keep sending him back to the Senate as long as South Carolina did that other old drooler, Strom Thurmond, will they?
