H1N1 (Swine) flu kills 17 people in Venezuela

Source: NBC

CARACAS, Venezuela - News reports and local authorities in Venezuela have reported that an outbreak of the H1N1 flu has killed 17 people and infected another 250.

H1N1, often called Swine Flu, was a flu strain that swept around the world in 2009 and 2010 in a pandemic. Most of the recent cases in Venezuela have been reported near the country's border with Colombia.

The federal government has not confirmed the figures reported in the media, but officials said high risk groups had largely been immunized earlier this year.

The World Health Organization says more than 18,000 people were killed in the pandemic that began in 2009, but a study in a British medial journal said the actual death toll may have been 15 times higher than that.

"our resident right wing" - they are clearly smart enough to know better, but that means nothing to them. They don't spread propaganda because they think it's true - they know it's not true.

Coma for a couple months, nerve damage from complications, the works. Took him about a year and a half before he could set the cane aside. Was a real mess.

Took 2 rounds of antibiotics before it cleared up. For about 4 months afterwards I got winded doing even the slightest bit of anything. I still have to watch out for colds, they go straight to my chest now (never did before I got sick that time).
