Chuck Hagel takes questions from the ranks in Hawaii

Source: Omaha World Herald

By Joseph Morton

HONOLULU — It was a muted but multicolored sea of camouflage as several hundred military personnel from across the service branches gathered Thursday in a hangar at Hickam Field to listen to Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel.

Dressed casually in slacks and a short sleeve shirt for the tropical weather, Hagel stood before an F-22 Raptor, a stealth fighter jet, as he delivered brief remarks and then took questions.

One young naval officer wanted to know how the Pentagon is responding to the rising tide of cyberattacks.

Hagel noted that that is one of the few areas of the budget where the administration has sought an increase in spending. He talked about the dire threat posed by cyberattacks and the difficulty of responding when it is unclear what country or entity launched the attack.

FULL story at link.

Union busting, anti gay, trash talking bigot, Chuck the Republican. And the photo does not match the story, obvious due to the sartorial notes about what Chuck was wearing while being a Republican. Did anyone ask him why he voted to invade Iraq based on obviously false information? I'd love to hear his response.

I wonder how his answer to that would match up against Vice President Biden's, Sec. Kerry's, or former Sec. Clinton's.
