Anti-abortion "personhood" bill advances in Virginia

From Reuters: The bill defines Embryo equal to a ...well, PERSON! It was passed Virginia House and is headed to Virginia Senate which is evenly divided between democrats and republicans but republican Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling holds the tie-breaking vote.

The last few weeks have been eye opening, even for a cynic like myself.......these people are determined to drag us back to the dark ages with not even birth control being allowed.

There are a lot of people out there who don't even realize there are religious groups OBSESSED with stopping people from having sex. They are actively moving on their social agenda, far more than anyone on the so-called far left is doing.

left is IMO rather scattered and doesn't have the sexual OBSESSION drive. It's all just a constant WTF to me. Then, eventually, people will start waking up and wonder WTF happened. Americans IMO take politics too casually and if it's not smack right in their face, many people don't pay attention.

This is the party of small government! Small, but just large enough to tell you who you can marry and what you can do with your body and who you sleep with....Other than that, small government rules!

Hopefully, all these overreach by these hypocrite A_holes wake the people up and teach them a lesson about the consequences of voting for right wing wackos.

The ONLY tiny bright spot I can see in this is that it is certain to energize young female voters. Of course, the 'pukes are also working hard to make it incredibly difficult for college kids to vote where they go to school...

A clever Demo did that, in (another?) state legislature's "person" bill.

By the way? Obviously someone or some agency, is pushing "personhood" bills in legislatures around the country. Probably "Priests for Life," etc.

Lots of jokes on the net about making sperms persons: like the Monty Phython "Every Sperm is Sacred" dance.

Unfortunately though, its not funny. Some of these may pass. Which will be used to say that abortion therefore, is murder.

Yup! These guys are dangerous alright. Are they going to try to jail (and execute?) millions of women for murder?

Stay tuned! These guys are dumb enough to be REALLY dangerous.

Delegate Bob Marshall introduced the legislation. The same Bob Marshall who suggested that disabled children are God's punishment to women who aborted their first pregnancy.
Abortion in cases of incest or rape? Not with Bob Marshall: "The woman becomes a sin-bearer of the crime,
because the right of a child predominates over the embarrassment of the woman."
Sorry Virginia, you deserve better.

I suggest all women now go on a major sex strike.
No contraceptives? You're outta luck buster.
I don't care if you can still get that little blue pill.
What's that about anyway?
No contraceptives, personhood, but men can get that boner pill.

I would insist I be permitted to buy life insurance on the person. No matter how many weeks pregnant I was.

In my case, I miscarried three persons back in the day. All that lost life insurance money would have put the three persons I gave birth to through college.

I love Virginia, but these people are f'idiots.

I wish to hell that NoVA could secede from VA and form its own state. We're the economic engine of this state, but all our tax money gets funneled down to Richmond to be parceled out to the knuckle-draggers in the rest of this fucking backwater. And to top it all off, we get policies like this "personhood" drivel. It's enough to make you spit.
