From Reuters: The bill defines Embryo equal to a ...well, PERSON! It was passed Virginia House and is headed to Virginia Senate which is evenly divided between democrats and republicans but republican Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling holds the tie-breaking vote.

A clever Demo did that, in (another?) state legislature's "person" bill.

By the way? Obviously someone or some agency, is pushing "personhood" bills in legislatures around the country. Probably "Priests for Life," etc.

Lots of jokes on the net about making sperms persons: like the Monty Phython "Every Sperm is Sacred" dance.

Unfortunately though, its not funny. Some of these may pass. Which will be used to say that abortion therefore, is murder.

Delegate Bob Marshall introduced the legislation. The same Bob Marshall who suggested that disabled children are God's punishment to women who aborted their first pregnancy.

I wish to hell that NoVA could secede from VA and form its own state. We're the economic engine of this state, but all our tax money gets funneled down to Richmond to be parceled out to the knuckle-draggers in the rest of this fucking backwater.
