Yahoo tops Google in U.S. web traffic in July

Source: USA Today

Yahoo has topped Google as the most visited website in the U.S. last month, according to the latest report from comScore.

Yahoo received 196.6 million unique visitors last month, compared to 192.3 million for Google. This is the first time Yahoo has returned to the top spot for U.S. web traffic since May 2011, comScore tells Marketing Land.

The traffic haul does not include data from Tumblr, acquired by Yahoo earlier this year for $1 billion, says comScore.

Yahoo's return to the top is another victory during the tenure of Marissa Mayer, who recently marked her first year as the company's CEO. Shares of Yahoo have nearly doubled in value since she took over.

Anyway, I don't see their ads. Adblock and no Flash installed makes the Internet a pleasure.
