Rep. Pete King of Long Island: I am running for President

Source: NY Daily News

WOLFEBORO, N.H. — Rep. Peter King won’t be the best known Republican presidential candidate in 2016, but he is the first.

King, making his second of four scheduled visits to the state in the summer and fall, told a New Hampshire radio station Friday that he’s there “because right now I'm running for President.”

That's the most direct statement so far from King, who has repeatedly said he is considering a run. King (R-L.I.) has said he is testing the waters to push the field away from what he considers the isolationist views of potential GOP candidates like the libertarian leaning Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and conservative firebrand Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas).

Not a typical NH town at all - bills itself as "America's First Summer Resort" , money/snob touristy. We live a couple towns south. When our neighbor relocated our heirloom skunks, he took them to Wolfeboro. My friend went to high school there, and he was when I was telling the story - that "Only the best dressed, well bred & polite skunks can go to Wolfeboro!" Coons, on the other hand, go to Epsom.

THIS Peter King wants to run for president to counteract the crazies?

Besides, it's not 1932 any more. Having a New York accent doesn't play as well in the south as it used to, unfair as that may be. In case King has forgotten, he should ask all his Republican friends who told him to fuck off when he asked for emergency aid money after Sandy the way the Gulf Coast states got it after Katrina and Deepwater Horizon.

Have them bring their crazies for primary season. This will help to offset the NSA/Syria headwind Democrats will be facing in the mid-terms.
