MPs meet to discuss why Britain allowed nerve gas ingredients to be exported to Syria following Sund

Source: Daily Record

Politicians will hold high-level talks at Westminster to try to find out how the UK granted export licences for chemicals capable of being turned into a deadly weapon.

Members of the Committee on Arms Export Controls will stage closed-doors talks at the House of Commons after we told of the scandal last week.

Yesterday, committee member Ann McKechin, MP for Glasgow North, said they will map out a plan to tackle the Government on the decision to grant export licences for chemicals capable of being used to make nerve gas.

A chemical weapon, probably sarin, has been blamed for the massacre of up to 1500 victims – including more than 400 children – in Damascus last month. The attack provoked an international alliance led by the US to threaten military strikes against the regime of Bashar Assad.

Revealed: Britain sold nerve gas chemicals to Syria 10 months after 'civil unrest' began

FURIOUS politicians have demanded Prime Minister David Cameron explain why chemical export licences were granted to firms last January – 10 months after the Syrian uprising began.

There is something hinky going on about this selling of chemicals, to Syria that are capable of being used to make nerve gas while Syria's civil war was raging on. They damn well knew what they were doing by selling those chemicals to Syria.

We need to know who these chemicals were sold to, why they were sold, and whether the UK Government were aware that the chemicals could potentially be used for chemical weapons."

Where in your comment does it say SHIPPED, DELIVERED, TRANSPORTED. A license was granted, a company sold these chemicals, were they delivered. I tell you what, I promise to sell you a bill of goods. Did you receive those bill goods, because I promised to sell them to you?

“We need to know who these chemicals were sold to, why they were sold, and whether the UK Government were aware that the chemicals could potentially be used for chemical weapons."

Show me a link that says these chemicals were delivered, I at least provided you with a link that states they were never shipped.

“They have said that the licences were granted but not subsequently enacted because of the EU ban. That’s what we’ve been told but the committee are following up on that issue."

Still waiting for some one to show me a link that says they were shipped. Guess we will have to wait for the committee to come back with their findings.
