Bill deBlasio whose campaign for mayor of New York tapped into a city’s deepening unease with income inequality and aggressive police practices, captured far more votes than any of his rivals in the Democratic primary on Tuesday.

IF deBlasio ends up with a total of under 40% after the absentee ballot count in two weeks then a week after that would be the run-off.

As head of the MTA, Lhota won kudos for getting the trains running after Sandy. Bill should win, but it will be a race.
