Water spouts spotted over Lake Michigan near Kenosha
Source: Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel
Water spouts were seen Thurdsay afternoon looming over Kenosha but, by all reports, a safe distance from shore over Lake Michigan.
The National Weather Service in Sullivan said the water spouts occurred about four miles southeast from Kenosha.
A water spout is basically a tornado over water, Townsend said.
Multiple funnel clouds also were reported over Kenosha early Thursday afternoon, meteorologist Ed Townsend said. A strong chance for thunderstorms will continue until 4 p.m. Thursday throughout southeast Wisconsin.
