New Hampshire 2016 poll: Rand Paul, Chris Christie dead heat

Source: Politico

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie are neck and neck leading the potential Republican field in 2016 in key primary state New Hampshire, a new poll shows.

Paul got 20 percent of the GOP primary vote to Christie’s 19 percent in the Public Policy Polling survey released Wednesday. In third, at 14 percent, was former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte came in fourth in her home state, at 12 percent, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz followed at 10 percent, and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan tied at 7 percent.

Just to confirm where we were four years ago...

Poll: GOP split over possible 2012 contenders

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- As the first unofficial ballots are cast in the 2012 presidential race, a new national poll of Republicans indicates no clear front-runner for the next GOP White House nominee.

It does, however, suggest a clear gender gap.

Twenty-nine percent of Republicans questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey released Friday say they are most likely to support Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin for the next GOP presidential nomination.

Right behind the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, and well within the poll's margin of error, is former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee. Twenty-six percent of those questioned say they are most likely backing Huckabee, the surprise winner of the 2008 Iowa GOP caucuses

isn't going to make Rand Paul any more palatable as presidential contender for anyone but the smallest number of voters. Paul has unquestioned support among libertarian leaning voters. Drug laws are not an important issue among rank and file Republicans. Every college campus has groups of young people that fall into groups far outside the mainstream -- either far left Marxists or far right libertarian. Paul will excite a small number of college students -- who will then greatly overestimate the actual level of popular support among their peers.

The longer he stays in the race, the more excited the rabid libertarians become. And the more excited they become, the more likely they'll be to boycott the general election in disgust when Paul inevitably fails to get the GOP nomination.

Because the GOP never sits out an election to send people a "message", that act of suicide is exclusively Democratic.

If you saw tonights "Last Word" with Lawarence O, make sure you see the "Rewrite" segment, and you'll hear him say something the repukes and rancid right would never say.

He read from an apparent report on Crim. Justice system and differences between poor African-Americans in jail, and those from rich families--referencing possesion of pot.

Then he says something really shocking.
