Michele Bachmann Visits Libya To Probe Benghazi

Source: Finance Roll Friday, December 20, 2013, 22:45

The Libya Herald reported that a contingent arrived in Tripoli on Tuesday to probe Benghazi attacks and the state of Libya with General National Congress members and Congress President Abu Sahmain. They reportedly also met with United States diplomats to plead increasing confidence.

While photos of a eventuality uncover a 3 Congress members smiling kindly with Libyan politicians, a revisit to Libya is rather baffling. Bachmann, King and Gohmert all have a well-documented story of anti-Islamic statements that could breeze adult serve deleterious family with a republic rather than improving them.

On a same day Bachmann arrived in Tripoli, she also published a square in Daily News Egypt praising Egypt’s anathema of a Muslim Brotherhood and arguing that both Egypt and a United States should code a classification a militant group. Though a Muslim Brotherhood was founded in Egypt and stays strongly compared with a area, it is an general classification with chapters worldwide, including a domestic celebration in Libya. Nowhere in a square did Bachmann acknowledge a Muslim Brotherhood’s central participation in Libyan politics.

The Egyptian and Libyan chapters of a Muslim Brotherhood are graphic though associated groups, and Bachmann appears not to heed between them and did not acknowledge a Brotherhood’s participation in Libya a day she visited. In 2012, a Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated party, a Justice and Construction Party, won 17 of 80 accessible legislature seats, and it now controls some 8 percent of all seats. The Muslim Brotherhood might not be a many absolute domestic force in Libya, though it has poignant participation in a nation.
