Peyton Manning set an NFL single-season record Sunday with his 51st touchdown pass.

Manning hit tight end Julius Thomas for a 25-yard touchdown with 4:34 remaining in the fourth quarter, giving the Denver Broncos a 37-13 lead over the Houston Texans.

He did it. Just minutes ago Peyton Manning broke Tom Brady's single season touchdown record.

Peyton has never been dumped.

You're forgetting he had a neck injury and had to have an operation, so he couldn't be the quarterback for Indianapolis until he recovered.

In the meanwhile Luck was hired with Peyton's blessing. He was not summarily dropped .

It was late breaking news when I posted it in the LBN section. So, should all sports stories be posted in the sports section, even when the sports story is late breaking news?

Rules aren't crystal clear about sports and LBN. It wasn't about the 12 hour rule so much as if it's of national interest to a wide number of people.

While a superbowl or League win might be LBN big news, a personal best for an athlete wouldn't be, but this wasn't just a personal best.

As it turns out, this is a record being set for the NFL and, as such is fairly big news.
