Duck Dynasty Gear Flying High

Source: USA Today

DES MOINES -- This won't attempt to bridge the great cultural divide of our time between those who watch Duck Dynasty and those who don't.

"Duck" merchandise is predicted to keep flying off store shelves, despite (or because of) the kerfuffle over remarks by the family patriarch, Phil Robertson, and his suspension from the show by A&E. In an interview with GQ, Robertson called homosexuality a sin and claimed that the blacks he worked with before the Civil Rights era were happy.

Once those RWNJ "Christians" get their backs up there's no end to the crap they'll waste money on to make a point. So there, Libtards.

But in this instance it may be becoming the uniform of those who link spirituality with bigotry and then feel persecuted when called out on it.

There are so many fans of the show, I was seeing that DD junk in every store. I'm sure the controversy only bolstered sales, but it was going to be a big seller this year regardless.

I've seen the show and am rather surprised at the people I know who like it. One woman is very proper and cultured and she loves the show. What am I missing people? I don't get it

is Generally Duck Dynasty seems to be taken as a family show. But his comments in GQ were so Vulgar they'd make Madonna look good as well as most of Playboy. He was stooping to um Hustler level vulgarity. Saying things I wouldn't say on HP let alone try on this site. How's your anus?

Second it was the racism that did him in. now I can say Uranus as a planet but I cant say anus on most sites. and yes people who try to say it wrong by avoiding what that planet does actually say are saying it wrong. Turin vs Torino Games. Dumbest idea ever. If I spoke the language of Turn sure that word would make sense. Same way if I was speaking French and I said bitch. Bitch isn't vulgar if I was speaking French. Similar to Negro if I was speaking Spanish. Drank an energy drink a few years ago.. called Negro Horse. Made in mexico. Basically Spanglish because it was part English part Spanish.

But generally talking outloud about Vagina's Anuses and dicks and where to stick them usually get people in trouble..

I'm deeply bothered by people who use religion as an excuse for their hateful, bigoted beliefs. And what Duck Man (and those who blindly believe what they read) claims to be religious speech is nothing but spewing hatred. If I sat in a meeting at work and said what he said I'd be out on my ass too.

And it will work again, and the right wingers will flock to watch his TV show even if it sucks.
There is no use in creating a cult unless you can exploit them them.
And we play the game well with them...they push the button, we get excited and the right gets mobilized.

They can't grasp the use of iPads, iPhones, PS4s etc. so duck dynasty crap is it.

But fortunately, that demographic is tapering off.

The "crazies" love it when their "idols" do, or say, something really stupid. It has worked for Palin, Beck and many of the other right wing "idiot talking heads, so the "fake" redneck hillbilly duck boys decided to cash in themselves, and it's working. These fake morons are simply pulling a huge con on their brain dead zombie followers.

He said earlier in the year that he wasn't sure how much longer he wanted to do this, it's at least the second time they've played the "persecuted Christians" card, Walmart would be hard-put to find something else to put beards on, so go out with a bang and cry all the way to the bank.

It never was reality; just a 'reality show' anyway.

I needed shoelaces and the closest store was a Wal...place that is not named. I don't normally go there, but I just needed laces for my boots. Anyway, while searching to find where the laces were amongst the 20 places that they had shoes in the store, I stumbled across the only Dumbass DyNasty product I've seen recently. Sugar Cookies. WTH?
