Cuomo on Christie GWB scandal: 'Everybody wants the facts'

Source: Bergen Record

NEW YORK — New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo says he's still looking for the facts behind a traffic reconfiguration at the George Washington Bridge that created a huge traffic jam in Fort Lee, N.J.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie fired a top aide and distanced himself from his campaign manager after emails and texts revealed that the traffic changes had been ordered by people in his administration for the express purpose of tying up traffic.

Cuomo was asked about the scandal as he left the Rev. Al Sharpton's headquarters on Saturday.

He said "Everybody wants the same thing. Everybody wants the facts. They want to know what happened."

Cuomo finally speaks up.

"He added that he was sure that Christie was "very displeased with what happened." "

Displeased with the lane blockage or displeased that they were exposed?

Maybe it's time to use the NSA's "metadata".... ?
Their records surely wouldn't be as redacted as Christie's have been.

Just a thought... I don't think the NSA spying on all Americans is justified, but Christie's administration seems to be involved in so many issues, and the Hoboken mayor's accusations would mean federal charges... maybe it's time to haul out the NSA records? See what is true and not.

Including Cuomo, allowed this to drag on for four days before acting as it had a significant impact on people conducting business in New York City. Indeed, I would have thought that Cuomo would have been on the phone with Christie trying to find out what was going on and why.

I think Cuomo has to stay neutral until the smoking gun is found. Remember the Port Authority is a multi-state organization run by both NJ and NY. There are plenty of people going after Christie now.

....is run by both NJ and NY, although Christie seems to think it's his alone. Cuomo has too much at stake to be neutral, it could hurt his chances at reelection, too.

If it were me I'd be big on getting those investigations moving at a fast pace.

But once those are started, then he needs to wait until there is solid proof. Then bring down the guillotine.
