APNewsbreak: Rodman checks into rehab center

Source: AP

Dennis Rodman has checked into an undisclosed alcohol rehabilitation center to treat his long-time struggle with alcoholism, his agent says.

Darren Prince declined on Saturday to say which facility will treat Rodman and how long he will be there. Rodman recently returned to the United States from his latest trip to North Korea.

He later apologized for comments he made in North Korea about a detained American missionary, saying he had been drinking and was under pressure as he organized an exhibition game there. He also sang "Happy Birthday" to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un at the start of the friendly game.

"What was potentially a historic and monumental event turned into a nightmare for everyone concerned," Prince said. "Dennis Rodman came back from North Korea in pretty rough shape emotionally. The pressure that was put on him to be a combination 'super human' political figure and 'fixer' got the better of him.

"super human" and political fixer, or whatever fantasy his alcohol-soaked brain created?

sorry, but every time I hear his name, I think about the scene from "men in black" about him being an alien:

My sister works in a mid-rent casino-hotel in Vegas.

She said he was in there at 3:00am one morning, dressed, only wearing a bath towel, and flashing everyone in the casino.

She said that he'd already ben tossed out of all the best places.

Allen Iverson once was banned from a casino for peeing in the trash can. No surprise that celebs would act fools in Vegas.

Just guessing, but he probably needs more: that ego seems out of control.

He was drunk and walked out on the apprentice many years back. He was lazy and arrogant, as he is now, and it didn't take him long to get the boot. Watching him in North Korea was a total joke. I wish him well, but I'm willing to bet you he walks out of rehab too.

Excessive money and alcoholism, arrogance and laziness = no fix.

He is a person who needs help. He has always been eccentric but now he needs help and I hope he can shake some of his demons.
Peace to you.

Not to mention, the drugs + alcohol have affected his brain cells, too.

Term of endearment from his days with the Bad Boys, obviously. He's always had emotional problems; hoping he can benefit from rehab.
