Netanyahu and Rohani make peace - on the Zurich tarmac

Source: Haaretz

The Israeli and Iranian leaders arrived in Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum, where their jets were parked side by side.

The Zurich airport succeeded in bringing Iranians and Israelis closer together Wednesday, as the jets of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Iranian President Hassan Rohani were parked side by side after landing.

The two leaders are in Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos.

According to Bloomberg News, Rohani is the first Iranian leader to attend the conference in a decade and is looking to bolster his country's economy, which has suffered under international sanctions.

President Shimon Peres is also attending, and plans to discuss the Israeli-Palestinian peace process on Thursday and Friday. He will also talk about the Iranian nuclear program and the economic and diplomatic challenges facing Israel and the region.
