LINCOLN A Bellevue family could have one more hope of controlling their son's debilitating seizures under a bill introduced in the Nebraska Legislature on Wednesday.
The proposed Will's Law would allow a very limited exception to the state law banning the use of marijuana.
It would allow people with uncontrolled seizures or muscle spasms to use hemp oil extract, also called cannibidiol oil or CBD oil, in the state. Only oil that is very low in THC, the compound that produces the marijuana high, would be permitted in Nebraska.
Legislative Bill 1102 was introduced by State Sen. Sue Crawford of Bellevue, with four co-sponsors including Sen. Ernie Chambers of Omaha.
