Pell, husband of Michelle Kwan, to run for RI gov

Source: AP

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Clay Pell is entering the race for Rhode Island governor — and bringing along his family legacy and the star power of his wife, Olympic figure skater Michelle Kwan.

The grandson of late U.S. Sen. Claiborne Pell announced his bid with a campaign video released Monday night ahead of a kick-off rally planned for Tuesday.

The 32-year-old Democrat served in the U.S. Coast Guard and worked on the White House National Security staff and at the U.S. Education of Department.

Pell says he offers a fresh approach and says he would work to bring the state together to address its economic challenges.

ALL THREE of them look like cardboard cut-outs. Some kind of funky over-exposure? How is that even possible? Throw that camera in the trash.

It's like the parallax issue you get when you take a picture of a tall building from the ground, but the other way. Top-down.

I think I mistook it for the light on the ceiling. But you're right, that's the camera flash, and level with where the camera was when the shot was taken.

Fits in my mind much better now.

Three way primary dance, and they will all paint themselves as progressive, but Pell is the only one without a record that you can say "Um, no, you kinda aren't progressive...."

I'm not sure from the reaction posts.

He doesn't have an "R" (or a "T" for TeaPuke) next to his name...isn't that a good thing?
