BP Oil Spill Linked To Sick Dolphins In Report
Saturday, 1st February 2014 16:55

Bottlenose dolphins suffering from a catalogue of serious health problems were found swimming in the Gulf of Mexico a year after the BP oil disaster, according to scientists.

Researchers said they had never seen such a high prevalence of sick animals, with conditions ranging from missing teeth and lung disease through to pneumonia and abnormal hormone levels.

The findings were reported in the first major study of dolphin health undertaken in the wake of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion that killed 11 workers and led to the nation's worst offshore oil spill.

Millions of gallons of oil spewed into the Gulf of Mexico while BP scrambled for weeks to seal the well.

Half of the 32 dolphins studied off the coast of Louisiana in August 2011 were found to be seriously ill or in danger of dying.

Line up a handful of these Bp profiteers, pull their head back by the nape of their neck and pour a good quart of their own damn product down their throat.

Shouldn't that read: "The oil spill cause sick Dolphins"?
With confusion such as this, no wonder nobody know what is going on.

written by BP to deny any responsibility to any damage (and death) from their disaster. Notice that corexit is not mentioned, nor are the thousands of dolphins and other creatures (including people) that have died as a result of corexit exposure. Rewriting history, making their own little reality.

We are part to blame but that doesn't excuse them from at very least ...charges of criminal negligence. I'd go for manslaughter and or negligent homicide. Basically I would shut them down permanently and force them out of the business.

Dolphins in 'bad shape' after BP oil spill
6 hours ago by Kerry Sheridan

Bottlenose dolphins with missing teeth, lung disease, and abnormal hormone levels were found swimming in the Gulf of Mexico a year after the BP oil spill, US researchers say.

Pneumonia, liver disease and a pregnant female carrying a dead fetus were also reported in the first major study of dolphin health after the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion that spilled 4.9 million barrels of oil into the Gulf of Mexico.

Half of the 32 dolphins studied off the coast of Louisiana in August 2011—a year and four months after the worst oil spill in US history began—were judged to be seriously ill or in danger of dying.

"I've never seen such a high prevalence of very sick animals," said lead author Lori Schwacke, a researcher with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
