French conservatives march against government 'family-phobia'

Source: Reuters

(Reuters) - Over 100,000 conservative French marched through Paris and Lyon on Sunday accusing the government of "family-phobia" for legalising gay marriage and other planned policies they say will harm traditional families.

The marchers, expressing growing frustration with the unpopular left-wing government, denounced new sex equality lessons in schools and urged the government not to legalise medical procedures to help same-sex couples have children.

Most demonstrators were middle-class families, some pushing little children in prams, posing no apparent risk of violent confrontation with the police that Interior Minister Manuel Valls had said would be dealt with severely.

The government of President Francois Hollande, suffering poll ratings near record lows, has delayed further social reforms until after next month's municipal elections following massive protests against legalising same-sex marriage last year.

Hell...it's not about marriage...it's about their wacky "they want to touch me" homosexual hatred.

The "traditional" marriage thing is a joke. And it's become a joke due to all those man-woman marriages...cheating, fighting, abuse, DIVORCE, multiple marriages and MORE divorce.

I SOOOO want bills to be presented in every corner of the planet that makes marriage FOR LIFE!

That will put a stop to this stupidity.

I don't understand who is actually being harmed when any consenting adults are married

(edited for the stupid: yes, you might hurt your long time partner if you pursue and marry their young adopted child behind their back but otherwise, you know what I mean)

That is the prevailing excuse. Of course, the very fact we dare speak out against those type of idiots makes us "heterophobes!" That's right! I heard it here, gays are bullies, thugs, and yes, heterophobes for speaking out against homophobia!!

a black coworker told me he as fine with civil unions for gay folk, but not with "real marriage". I told him, yeah, let 'em get on the bus, but make them stay in the back. Of course that shocked him.

As opposed to the traditional French marriage where you complain to your wife that your mistress doesn't understand you.
