New York (CNN) -- Four people thought to be connected to the drugs found in late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman's apartment were arrested Tuesday night, a law enforcement official told CNN.

During the raid that yielded the arrest of the three men and one woman, police recovered 350 glassine bags, the official said.

No additional information was released.

Preliminary tests Tuesday showed the heroin recovered from the apartment does not contain fentanyl, a law enforcement official told CNN.

I've just known too much of this sort of thing to not be really impacted by it.

Thank you for the update, but it's sad that there are no winners in any of this.

too. You don't just hold no one responsible for the product because he put it in his own arm.

alert (of some kind) for tainted heroin the week before he died because there had been a number of deaths from overdoses in the weeks prior.

They believed the heroin that killed Hoffman may have been from the same batch.

We're spending billions on the so-called war on drugs.. Catching a few street dealers isn't going to change the big picture. Ever wonder why they never follow the $$$ to the source? We also spent billions in Afghanistan, some things never change.
