Romney on 2016: 'The answer is no'

Source: CNN

Mitt Romney stressed he is not going to run for president in 2016, despite recent speculation that there could be support for a third Romney run.

"The answer is no, I'm not running for president in 2016. It's time for someone else to take that responsibility and I'll be supporting our nominee," Romney said on CNN's "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer."

It's true Romney has been back in the spotlight lately. He was the subject of a Netflix documentary that released last month. He slow-jammed on NBC's "The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon," and he had a prime seat at the Super Bowl on Sunday.

He also made the top of the list in a recent New Hampshire survey of potential GOP primary contenders in 2016.

Glad you're here! I agree! Glad he's not gonna try it again. He might be the "best" they have - using that word EXTREMELY loosely, of course! Just the thought of a First Lady ann wrongney - gives me the heebie-jeebies!

Romney is not a strong candidate and I do not think that he could beat Hillary Clinton. However if I was Romney, I would be telling the press that I am not going to run at this stage of the race. If romney does run, it will only be after it was clear that there was no sane/moderate candidate in the field and that he was the only choice. Before that vote, the money types would be calling on Romney begging him to run and Romney would only get into the race if he can spin it that he is the only candidate who could stand a chance against Hillary Clinton.

I am betting that either Jeb or someone like Kaisch will be in the race and so that Romney will not be able to claim that he was forced to run.

I think the Bush's are hoping that he'll be a fresh young face that won't be associated as easily with their evil empire and that will attract Latino voters. Because a pampered preppy that got a legacy to ivy league schools is someone we'll identify so much with.

His son is one of the "brown" grandchildren Bush Sr. mentioned while president, right? Well, Jr. is going to have to wait a while. He's not even of age to run for president, is he?

He's a candidate for land commissioner here in Texas. From there, he'd probably go for a bigger state office or national office. But, if the GOP thinks we Hispanics will go for him because he's brown, they've got another thing coming. They miscalculated trying to win the female vote by selecting Sarah Palin too.

When mama Bushitter said she didn't think Jebbie should run she also said he was the most qualified person for the job. The Bushitters always parse their words and always leave an opening. That was a carefully scripted statement.
