Former district attorneys say emails weren't enough evidence to charge Scott Walker

Source: Wisconsin State Journal

Opinions vary on whether Gov. Scott Walker, while serving as Milwaukee county executive in 2010, knew his staff was illegally running a campaign operation out of his office. But two former prosecutors, one a Republican and one a Democrat, agee on one thing: there wasn't enough evidence to charge the governor with a crime.

"I would say that ultimately the reason the DA’s office didn’t charge Scott Walker is that they didn’t have sufficient evidence to do so," said Bob Jambois, who for 17 years until 2005 served as Kenosha County district attorney.

Paul Bucher, a Republican who served nearly two decades as Waukesha County district attorney, agreed.

"I don’t think there was sufficient evidence to show the governor was involved in that," he said. "It may be that he knew of it or should have known of it or whatever the case may be."

The WI State Journal also just published this article Emails show how Scott Walker blurred lines between campaign and county business two days after the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel first reported on the emails.

Got it.

He and Christie can team up to help OJ find the 'real killer.'

he hardly got any convictions. He gave a murderer a way to get a retrial in a murder case where the victim even left evidence saying if she was murdered it was her husband. He's just wishy-washy and is likely why Walker picked him for the investigative team. Just to provide bipartisan coverage with the most lenient Democrat they could find. They could have pushed for more information from the e-mails. They could have made a case if there were a will to.

problem is like the one with Christie. They know what they're doing is illegal and make sure their hands aren't on any of it. It might be time to change the laws. This is ridiculous.
