Malaysia Airline MH370: 9/11-style terror allegations resurface in case of lost plane

Source: The Telegraph

8:54PM GMT 15 Mar 2014 - An al-Qaeda supergrass* told a court last week that four to five Malaysian men had been planning to take control of a plane, using a bomb hidden in a shoe to blow open the cockpit door.

Security experts said the evidence from a convicted British terrorist was “credible”. The supergrass said that he had met the Malaysian jihadists – one of whom was a pilot – in Afghanistan and given them a shoe bomb to use to take control of an aircraft.

A British security source said: “These spectaculars take a long time in the planning.”

The possibility of such a plot, hatched by the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks on the Twin Towers in New York, was bolstered by an admission by Najib Razak, Malaysia’s prime minister, that the Boeing 777’s communications systems had been deliberately switched off “by someone on the plane”.

and they are trying to hold back into which would expose them just not doing a good job with things like background checks and other measures to provide better security.

just like those iranian guys with the fake passports. they could have easily checked and didn't .

i'm guessing he didn't regularly fly this particular type of plane because then he could have just done whatever he wanted when he was working as a pilot.

i think it's clear that malaysia did not do a good job in checking who was allowed onto the plane based on those fake passports used by the iranians. and it was why the country was not so open with the info.

they were more focused on covering up or at least not getting blame for just not doing a good job than getting as much info out.

When actual *GASP* evidence (as in the plane) is found, I'll believe in what they find.

It's just as possible that the cabin lost pressure and no one knew it until too late.

to any wild ass theory as if there was some real evidence behind it. That's a hell of a long time to wait to use a shoe. Anything is possible, of course. it is possible that the ghost of Osama has come back to take over that plane. But without any real facts., maybe we should give this to much credence.

And I would point out that the plane in question was not actually flown into a tall building. I am certain if that had happened, then people might have taken a break from the mindless speculation and actually reported on such a fact.

So the theory goes that the whole purpose was to steal a plane to be hidden somewhere, and then brought out one day soon to crash into some building. This seems like a terrifically complicated plot to pull off. Surely there must be an easier way.

Agreed. Which leads me to speculate that they may want to do something more with the plane (e.g. load it with add'l explosives or other material). Or it did crash.

now that they have the additional satellite 'pings', it is clear that someone turned off the communications system and altered the course of the plane several times. That can't happen if everyone is unconscious.

Remember 1995, right away "Muslims are to blame!" for Oklahoma City, when it turned out to be a white Christian.

Here in the US, with the exception of 9-11, (and that one was committed by a group of Saudis,) terrorism is the vast majority of the time done by white Christians.

attack Kuala Lumpur? Are there religious schisms? Because of the 'modernity' of the towers? Political grievances?

"One possible target, if the scenario is correct, will have been the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, a symbol of Malaysia’s modernity and the world’s tallest buildings from 1998 until 2004."

However, the plane's waypoint route seemed to be on course to reach Banglore or Chennai in India. Pakistan sponsored jihadis (which is 95% of them) get priapism whenever they think of doing damage in India.

MISSING MH370: Police at co-captain's house

SHAH ALAM: Police were believed to have searched first officer Fariq Abdul Hamid's home at Section 7, after having searched Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah's home in Laman Seri here earlier.

Around 8.07pm, the same unmarked white multi-purpose vehicle with the same WYR548 plate number, which had entered Zaharie's gated neighbourhood, stopped outside Fariq's home.

A total of four men in civilian's clothes, believed to be police officers, entered the house.

A few hours earlier, Fariq's two brothers had arrived at the house in a Mini Cooper, believed to belong to a friend.

solely responsible. This is coming from CNN via Barbara Starr at the Pentagon.

http://www.cnn.com/2014/03/15/world/asia/malaysia-airlines-plane/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

The U.S. intelligence community is leaning toward a theory that "those in the cockpit" -- the pilots of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 -- were deliberately responsible for whatever happened to the commercial jetliner that vanished, a U.S. official with direct knowledge of the latest thinking told CNN on Saturday.

The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, says the Malaysian government had wanted a reason to search the homes of the pilot and co-pilot for several days, but it was only in the last 24 to 36 hours the technical analysis of the collected radar and satellite data gave Malaysian officials sufficient reason to inspect those residences.

One pilot and not the other could be responsible.

Also, why did this newscaster say, "by all accounts, the passengers were calm and stayed in their seats" after the plane changed course.

What accounts??? There is no way in the world for them to know this; it is pure conjecture!!

It is not like 9/11 where American planes were hijacked on American soil, killed American citizens and charged into symbols of American power: Twin Towers in New York, Pentagon and, possibly, the White House.

What did they accomplish? Shown that they can make a plane disappear? And why not brag about it?

May be the plane didnt make it to land becuase it ran out of fuel so the group responsible has decided that not knowing is a form terror in itself.
