Another Democrat suggests racism within GOP, drawing another sharp response

Source: Faux News

New York Rep. Steve Israel said Sunday a significant part of the Republican Party is “animated by racism,” marking the third time in recent days that a leading Democrat has appeared to make race an issue and draw a sharp response from Republicans.

Israel, chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, whose major role is the get House members re-elected, told CNN’s “State of the Union” that not all of his Republican colleagues are racist.

“Not all of them, of course not,” he said. “But to a significant extent, the Republican base does have elements that are animated by racism.”

Israel made his comments after Attorney General Eric Holder testified Tuesday before the House Judiciary Committee, then suggested the next day at a forum on civil rights that the past five years in Washington have been marked by "unprecedented, unwarranted, ugly and divisive adversity."

could never be happy free. They are still crying over the loss of white privilege and male privilege, and the fact that they no longer get gold stars for being heterosexual is the last straw for many of them. It means they might actually have to get off their lazy butts and do something in order to prove themselves for a change---and they have no practice actually doing anything. They are too used to having their wifes and mothers and maids and servants and serfs do it all for them. You know who is most expendable? They are. The ones who get rich leaching off the labor of the working class---and in their hard little hearts, they know it and it fills them with self revulsion and guilt that makes them project their self hatred onto the world as the myth called anti-white racism. And what makes the angriest is when they see a white, heterosexual male who can actually do things and accomplish things besides walking all over other people---someone like Bill Clinton or Jimmy Carter---someone with good self esteem that they don't acquire by applying their boot to someone else's neck. It makes them want to explode. W. is their kind of guy because he is an idiot loser boozer ex-coke head who got ahead thanks to being a white, heterosexual male son of privilege who was willing to kill a lot of brown people in another country. They can identify with that kind of American values.

Sorry for the rant. But I see so many people---of all races, genders and sexual persuasions---- every day in the office who have been dealt such a crappy hand by fate---poverty, sickness---and they work so hard, and they are so nice to everyone else---so when I see these cry babies sit around and whine about how they aren't "special" the way their great grand daddy, the one smiling in the photo of the lynching was "special" I just want to puke.

they say they are only honoring their brave ancestors who fought the "war of northern aggression."

But mention the KKK, which was founded by Confederate generals, and they are quick to say the KKK was founded by Democrats.
