Who Won the 2014 Boston Marathon?

The 118th running of the Boston Marathon was a momentous occasion for the city, but it was also an important day for the world-class runners trying to win one of the world’s most revered races.

Meb Keflezighi won the Elite Men’s division, becoming the first American to win the Boston Marathon since 1983.

Here is the full list of winners:

The winner from the Elite Men’s division: Meb Keflezighi

The winner from the Elite Women’s division: Rita Jeptoo

The winner from the Men’s Wheelchair division: Ernst Van Dyk

The winner from the Women’s Wheelchair division: Tatyana McFadden

from the other day. We got to the course early today to cheer her - and all the wheelchair racers- on.

For those of us caught up in last year's events, stories of triumph like Tatyana's brings easy tears...of gratitude for the good that is found sometimes in human beings.
